 Religious Emblems Mass
February 20, 2010

 

Catholic Wolf and Bear Cub Scouts received their Light of Christ and Parlevi Dei religious award presented by Bishop Joseph A. Pepe in a special mass on Saturday February 20, 2010. Catholic Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from the Southern Nevada Area including parts of Arizona were also present. Good Job on all their hard work to earn this achievement.


Blue and Gold
Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Boy Scouts of America and the 80th Year in Cub Scouting
February 20, 2010

At this years Blue & Gold celebration, boys and their families enjoyed and pasta, meatballs, and salad .The Cub Scouts received their awards, and the Webelos I boys earned their Webelos Badges. To mark the occasion and the 100 year anniversary of Boy Scouts of America, each den created a time capsule. The Tigers den created a 5 year, the Wolf den made a 10 year, Bear den a 15 year, Webelos I a 20 year, and the Webelos II a 25 year time capsule to be opened in the year 2035. The boys included patches, information sheet on each boy, cub scout handbook, photos, T-shirts and a letter to the future Cubmaster of Pack 99. The boys and their families had lots of fun with the time capsule activities and look forward to opening them in the future.

Scout Sunday
February 7, 2010

Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts were recognized during the 9:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, February 7.  Scouts participated in the mass and Fr. Romeo spoke to them about the importance of scouting.  The Knights of Columbus provided a delicious breakfast after the mass.

 



Cake Bake Auction

January 10, 2010

Our Annual Parent/Son Cake Bake Auction was held on Sunday, January 10, 2010.  The event was a big success!  We had 48 cakes entered and we raised lots of money for Pack 99. Thank you to all our participants and all of our bidders.

 

The winning cake design was the sushi cake and was won by a Cub Scout from the Wolf den. (photo-right)




Christmas Pack Meeting
December 4, 2010

Pack 99 held their annual Christmas Pack Meeting on December 4, 2010.  The boys had a great time creating their own decorations and decorating their own tree for each den.  We had pot luck soup and sandwiches.  And we had special soup prepared by Cheryl Ghirlando for all to enjoy.  A special thank you to Cheryl Ghirlando and Mrs. Racel for making the soup.  It was a delicious way to warm up on a cold winter night.
